The Rocklin Hype vision has always been to give our local kids an avenue and a place to play softball at a higher level in our local community; it was founded by Mike Mello, Keith Caron and Gordon Nakagawa.
Rocklin Hype began with a single team (16U) in the Spring of 2005. Mike Mello, Keith Caron and Gordon Nakagawa wanted to take a group of girls in the 16U division they had been coaching in recreational softball, with the goal of taking them to the ASA "B" Westerns Nationals in Roseville CA.
This first 16U Hype team participated in the ASA "B" Association Championship (Metros) and took 1st place. With great sportsmanship and great coaching the team goal was achieved.
